1 lb steamer or butter clams per serving
l/2 cup boiling water
Butter or margarine
Lemons or limes

Wash clams thoroughly, as directed. Place in a steamer, add water and cover. Steam for 5 to 10 minutes, or until clams open. Serve hot in the shell with melted butter. Pass lemon or lime wedges.
